Courtesy of the Mrs’ friend, who’s having a conservatory installed at great expense and not without building control/contractor complications, I had a quick rummage in her skip..ooo err mrs..

5no 8x4 sheets of 9mm ply
10no bags of Blue Circle Cement Powder - there were more but a couple had been split

I’ve told her to get a bit of an itemised bill out of them before paying up, as there must have been the best part of a ton in sand and gravel in the skip too

A load of plated steel threaded rod, got it from a big skip on what looks like an office refit.

Collected another swindens today and a large square. Was a pleasure meeting the guy selling, was only 25 miles away, shows me around his workshop were he makes swords. not today but Thursday a nice little metal box from the local boot fair, I knew instantly what it was as I have been after one for the best part of 3 years .... Inside is a British army number 2 stove mk 2 unmodified. Used from about 1945 till 1970 something for tank crews to brew up with. Often sells for about a tonne on ebay and army auctions... Mine for £25... All the seals seem good just needs a bit of petrol and a match...

not the rarest of stoves but not common to find unaltered, they were altered in the 1970s ish to silent burners as this has a roarer. But as it was used mainly by tank crews I dont think they would care about the noise, Im currently trying to win a 2 burner version aka the number 3 on a well known auction site (but I dont want to link it as I dont want to lose it!)

single burner looks perfect for me, i use a cheap gas bbq which doesn't like wind and often has to sit well in the boot to stay lit! The no2 looks only a little larger than my bbq

Just Google 'Walmart People' > Images. There are some truly unbelievable sights on there, not for those of a weak/sensitive disposition.....
