Yes im seriously considering it.And some ballscrews and servos
One issue.
No gibs
Runs on the v and flat bed and locks from the underside with a wingnut affair.
Thoughts?

Mounted under the bed to keep tension on the saddle?Profile rails but that is starting to get expensive. Linear rails may however be good enough on a small lathe.
Well enough for me to remove and rebuild with no tramming and keep 0.01 accuracy over 200mmHaving said that maybe it would work fine with the use of a decent spring to give the tension instead of having to lock it, depends I suppose how good the underside is machined.
No, I was meaning machine the ways and fit rails in place but it may be an option to do them underneath.Mounted under the bed to keep tension on the saddle?
Il keep my eyes open for a bargain.

V way runs full length and locates everything.
Identical bed to the M without the second flat nearest the front.
Ah I see. Will get it out and have a good look. No, I was meaning machine the ways and fit rails in place but it may be an option to do them underneath.
If the underside, where the wing nut locks against is ground true then a spring to keep tension sounds like it may be an option.
You might regret thay suggestion when I start pestering you for advice. And some ballscrews and servos
Today I acquired.

The tree was cut down a few days ago. I can get more.Is it seasoned?
If not it will need to be before you can work on it.
If it is fresh cut, put it by a labarum or buddleia plant and enjoy the butterfly's.

That's what I was going to do parm. I can get more. Think I will get some and let it do it's thing for a whileI’ve got two similarly sized chunks of Elm. Tree was cut down about 10years ago but the discs are still a bit damp. Been in the barn since last summer.
I plan to sand smooth the tops and coat in resin (possibly) and make rebar legs

Yes. I did go on a buying spree. But also brought a complete British empire lathe with its accessories .all working .A large one. Ain't seen it yet. Had phone call from a friend who looks out for stuff. How big it is I don't no. But his words are. It's complete .running. with all the goodies. So will have to pick it up at some point. You need to treat us to a view of all your kit, I’m losing count of how many toys you have! They’re not cheap over here those drills. I saw one recently went for $1600 and another over $2000. Nice, but not two grand nice!
I remember when they first came out i had the early Parallel Port version for a while, its still kicking around somewhere.I used zip and jaz drives right until usb storage got fast, still have various internal and external drives in the loft
