I braved the snow & went to an auction last night. There was a small crowd there but a lot of internet bidders so most stuff wasn't cheap! 
Bought this box of contents for £10. I wanted the tow ball accessories but hidden in the box were some decent sockets, spanners & a nice ball pein hammer.
I bought this steel box of contents for £6.
There was a good selection of Kango chisels, some fit my own breaker, the rest can go back to the auction!
I bought the box for the very sorry looking carver clamp.
A quick wire brushing unearthed the name, I think it will clean up ok!

I also picked up this green trolley which is a perfect size for my tool box!Going to add a handle then I can pull the heavy toolbox behind me, a great saving on my back! Only £5!!
I have one of those cantilever boxes which I hate with a passion! Open it.......find required tool.......leave box open.........go to do job.........cross shed.......shin........blood !!!!!!

I use a big tool cabinet in the workshop, I just made up this box from my spare tools to use in other sheds, hence needing a trolley.
Cantilever boxes can be annoying but as a portable toolbox they are hard to beat, with plenty of sections to keep tools separate. I had a big plastic toolbox & it was a pain to find anything in with few separate compartments.
My Dad used to have a box like that. Still have it somewhere, bloody useless as you say though! Much prefer my rollcab box.I have one of those cantilever boxes which I hate with a passion! i had one and binned it soon afterwards due to it being too heavy to lift it with all the tools in it
nowadays i just use plastic tool boxes with a top that can be removed for the smalls to sit in the tool box also gets used as a handy saw bench if needed
they tray dosnt have a hole in middle where tools can disapear all the time

The heater is a kickspace heater, usually used in a kitchen to warm 2 inches in front of the vent

I have a few large trolleys I 'liberated' from a previous employer, they are designed to take 2 stacks of plastic crates but they are also great for setting engines on!

Looks like pine to me. The best stuff is hundred year old (old man pine) but the forty year old stuff is good too. Either way, it's a softwood and ripe for burning. This year we have 8m3 of 40yo pine and 4m3 of white gum. The latter is a great slow burner and is incredibly dense, useless for making things as it twists so much. The red gum has similar burning qualities but it takes about two years to fully dry for burning compared to 6 months for the white gum. I'm waiting until I see the sap start dripping out of the gum before I stick it on the fire - which should be a while yet, another bright sunny blue sky day here

You need that initial heat though, or the hardwoods will just smoke and make an annoying lump in the fire. Besides, a really good fire every now and then will burn that residue out, and clean the glass of your wood burner too.

If it's pine that's fine... heh, rhymes.
We burn basically only pine and fir + a little birch in our stove. We didn't get the chimney sweep for the 3 first years (he forgot) and he said it was basically clean, very little soot. Our stove is a "kakelugn" that is a bit more modern in that it takes in additional air infront of the fire and in a chamber above the fire it mixes with the flue gasses for a secondary burn. On most days you only see very little smoke...
EDIT: Went back and looked at the pictures, still not sure that's pine... It definitely could be, but I am not 100%

Hi guys
It is willow not the best I know but it was free,I have some hard wood so it will get mixed, we burn most stuff but avoid painted or treated wood, we have a very efficient burley fireball, it will reduce 100 kg of logs to 1 pint of ash and has a 4 stage burn cycle according to the sales info.
