Worth the effort though.

Speed comes with practice. A good wet saw helps no end.

Speed is not my my best bit I keep playing with stuff to get it just right but after I finished I can still point out loads of things I would like to change other half and her dad says it great what you worried about

Yes got a wet saw and large tile cutter I have done 7 bathrooms and 5 kitchens and prob some more I can't think of it the moment but still get back to can't leave it like that so start it again

Four and a half thousand plastic bags rescued from a skip.

Only realised that I don't want 4500 plastic bags after I got them home.

Given them to a charity, should be collected today, so I'm off the hook on this one. I may need to wear boxing gloves when I leave the house to stop me collecting rubbish.

I have Brio here hang over from Mini Me youth.
I found the Tesco copy was as good as brio at a pinch toys r us would do..


But none was a patch on Brio.

I used to sell lots of Melissa and Doug brand quite a good range and price, I has the table for it as display which i gave to a customer after xmas as she has so much stuff it was all ove the kids room..

I think that was B.D.Price and no thats not me lol, Our shop was on the outskirts Little learners / Windsor toys
small but traditional, It's still there just not us running it now, Idependant toy shops are on the decline sadly.

That is sad. I remember about twenty years ago now, there used to be a toy shop in Stockport that specialised in Britains farm, it would sell individual hay bales, and all the other stuff like the pitchforks, spray tanks that inevitably got lost.

Another good one was Knowles toys and models in Buxton. Dougy would let you pore through the catalogue and tell you about the attributes of each set (mainly used to buy Airfix stuff there) - he had it all in stock, but it was way up high and he had a policy of 'if you make me get up there and bring it down, you're buying it!' I went back to Buxton recently and it's gone, so is the one across the square, the two that used to be in Bakewell gone, the one up the hill from the cinema in Stockport gone, even Ian Allen on the ramp at Piccadilly has folded. Didn't check the one at Marple - that was one of my absolute favourites as they had Humbrol paints for 90p and didn't realise that the Metalcotes and the transparents were meant to cost more. It was one of those places where nobody bought paint, so they also had a lot of numbers which you couldn't get anywhere else, 1980s ones that by then were oil on top and pigment sludge at the bottom, and all at a bargain price!

I bought a load of old stock Britains tractors from Beatties, they must have had them in their storage as they were 10 years or more out of production, they were reduced. I was at Uni' in Wolves at the time catching the bus so I would buy 8 at a time. I was selling them for 2 or 3 times what I paid.

The old stock you can get at places is amazing, You can often find discounted items that will sell for more than double, Arcade toys in Dudley sold off all the old stock when they changed hands i got a few bits of quite old stock the guy there called Alan is a great guy, I still collect old toys now and again mainly looking for Marx toys hard to find now at a nice price.

All compete.

Yes it is British circa 1968. The NATO stock number confirms that.

That and only the British would fit it with a bottle opener.
