Today I acquired...........

On my walk out today i spotted all this put out for the scrapman, I sent my mate to get the van...The vice looks nice with a swivel base
and pipe jaw adapter that goes into a slot under the front jaw, Stuff on the bench was put out aswell not tried the genny but its in 1 piece.

That looks a good find, don't know about the Bells though, I don't drink spirits or was that in exchange for the "scrap rights"

There was a bottle of bells and famous grouse, no good for me either i don't drink lol, she was throwing it out as it had been in the garage for a fair time, Can i use it as paint thinners?

Was only recalling a pheasant going through my old mans van window on the way to work years back yesterday. Nearly did the same today. Consider myself Lucky on that count.

I'll probably borrow or hire one tbh. Really don't have the room to store and once the drills in its new home it won't be moved until I move house.

I hit a male pheasant once in my mini 850, but luckily it was only stunned, so I chucked in the boot until I got home an hour or so later, by which time it seemed OK, but still a bit dazed. Put it in an old chicken run and looked after it for a week or so in readiness to release back into the wild.

Came home from college one day to discover that my Grandad had been round earlier and taken it home for his dinner.....

Worked with a lad who's old fella hit a badger. Feeling bad, he picked it up and put it on the back seat so he could bury it properly, where it promptly woke up about a mile down the road and proceeded to vent its anger at being punted with a vw golf on the interior

In reference to Yellow Ardvarks post, I have the same vice, picked it up couple of weeks ago for not very much money. Sadly it doesn't have the swivel base but other wise in good shape. It's a record auto mechanics vice. The two holes in the side are for holding valve stems. There should also be an adaptor for holding a cylinder head (never seen one of those). Oh and the vice is cast steel, not your usual cast iron. Favtory supplied colour was red. Yours looks to be in good nick !!!
