Even that needs the odd tightening dug before attempting to undo wheel studs put in by an ape with a windy gun, despite it coping with undoing Rover V8 crank pulley nuts which are torqued to twice that which a wheel nut should be.

I think its a load of rubbish. Wouldn't take the wheel nuts off my old Ford Focus. I understand that wheel nuts are a funny thing and they can corrode onto to the threads but this was mains powered. Now I've had the use of an impact wrench I found I don't like them. It's the lack of mechanical sympathy employed. I would use them on old exhaust bolts that are getting binned but not on anything that remains on the car.
