Well I'm fitting a new kitchen so thought it would be nice to go alongside the Bosch circular saw....

Can't imagine not owning one.
In fact I have two now lol.
Great bits of kit

Take the time to set the cams on the base well to stop wiggle then with a low speed shallow cut trim the splinter strips off into a sacrificial timber.

Most useful for cutting out sinks and jobs too. Far safer than plunging a skilly.

Had a box of bits given me today and as i have an odd interest in switches and car parts i was happy to find a few old Lucas and general 12v bits in the box, Most interesting for me was the small 12v power plug and socket as i have been after one for a while, It is to power an old Lucas clip on fog lamp that sits on the side glass.

This beauty came home with me last year after I was weekended out in the truck at a truck stop near Symonds Yat in the shire of Monmouth. Made by Grumman, makers of the iconic WW2 fighter planes that sent most of the Imperial Japanese Navy to Davy Jones’ Locker, and the awesome seaplane in “The Expendables” films, it was love at first sight for me. Had a walk along the River Wye on the Saturday, did a boat trip, watched the canoeists, had dinner and a couple of pints at one of the riverside hostelries, then saw this for sale, and BANG! Fell in love with the aeronautical engineering design, did the deal, and home it came, roped onto the back of a 150 ton low loader .

That's a Nice find. Grumann's are a very stable canoe, and virtually maintenance free.

I've had a 13 foot Grumman for over thirty years, and couldn't bear to part with it so I shipped it here to the UK. I kept tripping over it in my storage unit, so hung it out of the way from the steel beam holding up the roof of our project house; will have to remember to take it down before I install the upstairs ceiling.

A couple of weeks ago I found out there is a canoe club in the next valley over the hill from me in a town called Maesteg. I received an email from the club and will be going to attend a meeting next Wednesday. There are some great rivers to float here in the UK.

Canoeing is one of my vices.

This had been lingering on FB Marketplace for months. It popped up again on my feed yesterday, a give away price. If I hadn't bought it then I fear it was destined for the scrapyard.

Complete and completely original but missing one of the three wingnuts from the belt guard

It was interesting getting it out of the car and manoeuvreing it through my tiny flat alone.

Now I need to finish my rotary converter build

They are surprisingly easy to walk being as they have three legs Might not be great for household flooring though

When I turned up for my bandsaw to access from the front door only I thought nightmare.
Thankfully Graham had already stripped it down into it's components and a dolly made easy work of it.
