Not today, but when I acquired a wooden plough plane. This was black with dirt and was used to hold the blade in place during transport.
So it was thrown into along with the other wooden tools to be cleaned.


I knew it was a "Crib Board" as I play the game.

But zoom in, it has come a long way in its life.

Great Central Railway.
I was intrigued by that when I found myself passing over its old route on my journeys. It seemed to me at the time it would probably make sense to re-use it, as most of the track cuttings, embankments, etc were still there.
Not enough backhanders in it, probably.
