So got asked by a neighbour if I wanted a couple of guns. Rude not to really,

So got given these, one 12bore one 20bore side by side shotguns.
The 12 bore is a box lock which he bought back in 1981 but the makers name is nearly unreadable unfortunately so trying to figure out who it was. The 20 bore is a gunmark kestrel ejector which will make a cracking hedge gun.

Been looking for a bandsaw for a while, needed to be a table top jobbie as don't have space for anything bigger. Also needed to be suitable for cutting metal as I have some aluminium to slice up.

This popped up on eBay, bid n won and was collected for me yesterday

It's an Emco Star, bit more than just a bandsaw looking at the brochure and handbook that came with it.







This made me chuckle, different era

Took a fine triangular file to the base and it turns out to be an alloy of some kind, but the clamp bit is steel [well, at least it takes a magnet]. A mate has suggested it's just a 'third hand' someone has made which might just be the answer.

No guesses on the press, anyone?

as from my thread a few months ago I had a wet and dry Henry after plenty of mucking around found needed a new motor

A few months later 3 Henry's came up one was wet and dry was an older model but after 3 hours fixing changing parts and descaling I got a very good working wet and dry numatic George just going to do in front of our seats in the front room as I type

Ps I fixed one of the others as I needed new brushes took the bushes out if the other broken one and this is now up and running this well be changed for beer money to offset the cost of the 3 I bought

A headache and a bleeding scalp whilst working on the rear tub of my pickup in the garage I tripped over the rotisserie it's on and smacked my head on it, put my hand up to rub it better only to encounter blood. Don't mind admitting it knocked me sick for a while.

So a busy day , done a lot and it doesn't show

I got mine for passing my 11+ c 1960.

That ring may be the wiper for the range selection switch.

A working speedo and a dash with no warning lights. Today I have reprogrammed my van after an engine change and I'm very slightly stunned as this is about as far from my 'area of expertise' as its possible to get without getting lost in the lingerie section of a large department store.

Today I received these from eBay,
10x Binzel MB36 shrouds and an 8m Carbon Teflon liner for the PushPull gun.
Probably over £60 retail as they are genuine Binzel, I paid £20 so quite happy with the deal

Today The "TYA liberation front" acquired 2 new items.
Yes, they are hidden away from Mrs TYA.




First Item.
Hedge trimmer.
Ex display model, but was damaged in a recent flood of the site.

A quick test with my meter shows no faults. But I will have to run it through some more test.

Then this item was found in the pile of customers returns, I asked if it could " go away" and was told "Make it so Mr TYA"
You didn't need to tell me twice.

A week or two ago a free 'Welder's Handbook' available from Air Products popped up on my Instagram feed so I filled in the form and dowloaded a PDF version, and then also requested a booklet version too. I got a call last week and I got chatting to the lady from their sales and marketing department and she was happy to chat for a few moments; I was totally open and said that I wasn't a prospective customer - but that I teach practical metalwork to secondary school kids in Scotland and that the information in the booklet was really useful and it explained the different types of welding really well. Whilst we do very basic gasless MIG it certainly doesn't require the depth of knowledge the book offers. I asked if I could have a few copies of the handbook, one for me at home and one for school.

Anyway, today at school this arrived:

A very big 'thank you' from me to the marketing team at Air Products in Crewe! The kids will respond well to reading a proper 'grown up' handbook, more than they might anything I can cobble together.

One missing spring. Odd. It was taped into the removed half. Clearly a display model.

So replaced, lubricated up and plugged in.



Yes it did.
Almost sold as well.
£10 is on it's way to me.

Not aquired for personal use, I've managed to have one of these wee trucks donated to our Heritage Railway group from a major Rail Infrastructure company - McCulloch Rail. We collect it this Saturday. Will make a big difference to our permanent way maintenance tasks. The one we are getting is a bit rougher round the edges, but complete.
