You should sell them over here, the market laps them up every time, and I’ve never seen a chuck come up for sale here.
I bought a load of 3am collets last year all rusted up, stuck them online and got double my money back. There’s just so little good stuff that the price gets driven up silly, even imperial is still sought after.

A pain in the bum job!!
Eldest had insurance bod out yesterday to fit his black box, apparently the exhaust back box is none standard so he got a replacement yesterday, gone to fit it to find the whole exhaust is big bore and the joint is in the wrong place and has the wrong angle....

Another way for insurance to shaft us, the rest of the car is nothing to do with the black box installer
Having seen some professional tracker installs on vans I wouldn’t let them touch my car, or I would be watching his every move

It just boils my urine! Its a sports model so we wrongly assumed the exhaust was standard when he bought it. His insurance is costing him 3x what the car is worth anyway and this just feels like another way to shaft a new driver and make him fork out another few hundred quid.

Totally FUMING!!! They have given him notice of cancellation, no time to put it back to factory spec just automatically cancelled. A complete joke!! Fortunately he is getting most of his deposit back but angry is not the word!

one of the questions asked is "have you ever had insurance declined or cancelled?" answer "yes" to that one and you're in a world of hurt, no one wants to quote you.

They gave him a weeks notice, so I told him to cancel it himself to avoid the above. £90 for 2 weeks it has cost him...
I checked with the very nice lady who didn't really deserve me venting a little at her ( I apologised profusely ) and he won't have any problems because he is cancelling it before the weeks notice.

Technically, if he's received a notice of cancellation, then you need to declare it, whether he cancels first, or not.
But:
If he's cancelled within 14 days of start of policy, then there should be nothing to pay?

put it this way id rather have that than to be told months down the line at an accident to then be told im not covered and i have no insurance no car no insurance and then appearing in court for driving a car with no insurance
