You can be vaccinated against shingles ask at your GP's . In Wales once you hit something like 70 it's automatically offered for free.

I had the shingles vaccination, a two part course, had the first jab no problem, but when it came to the second one I had it within a week of having a flu jab, and I had bad side effects for about three months afterwards.
I'd say definitely have the shingles jab, but not close to any other kind of jab

I got mine free when I hit 65 in Englandshire.

Too late, I had shingles after coming off some ridiculously strong MS medication (methylprednisolone).

Due to its affect which basically switches off your immune system (which is busy attacking your brain) I endured shingles which is apparently a well known side effect of that drug. I had to work this out for myself at the time, my GP was/is pretty useless. I have a horrible feeling that having had it once, does not necessarily give you any immunity. Could be wrong though.

I had it 25+ years ago...I thought/hoped it was a 1 time thing. I think it can be caused by extreme stress which affects the immune system...when I had it I was under a lot of stress for sure.

I remember it being pretty awful!

Today I acquired two 10m rolls of a stout foam about 12mm thick .

Recommended to me by the lads who did the ground work , it's different but seems to be an easy form of expansion joint in concrete. ( £26 inc vat for the two rolls )

Has anyone any experience of setting it up .. all I can visualise is lay it against some builders planks . mortar it up right against the boards & after a few hours remove the planks and mortar the other side then when dry order the ready mix and pump.

Has anyone any better ideas?
