Fertiliser for the chalky ground in the veg patch.

I remember my dad going to our local sewage treatment plant and getting trailer loads of treated soil , you could take as much as you wanted, .He spread it onto the chalky ground in the garden, had a great display of flowers, the only problem was he kept getting loads of tomato plants growing because the seeds weren’t digested after people ate tomatoes and weren’t affected by the sewage treatment

Cow poo, from an abandoned barn. Been sat there 4 years. Put the seats down in the back of the Mondeo estate, a tarp down then bagged a load of it up. I can take as much as I want.

I did that when I lived at Bulford Wiltshire. In winter in 1972 I put one Kiddies pram load per square yard well dug in on 30 square yards of chalk ground similar to yours .

I was the only one in 1973 the year of the drought to produce any crops as my soil retained a lot of moisture . Just don't try growing carrots or parsnips in newly manured ground as there will be too much nitrogen for them , which will give each carrot or parsnip more roots than you have fingers .

The barn I got the manure from is near to collapse with the cows long since moved on. The higher, covered area is quite dry and dark and there's just a mass of it. Very few weeds in it. I'm assuming killed by the heat. Some of it's still a bit "strawy". The low point of the barn is waterlogged and tbh you wouldn't want to tread there.

Horse manure tends to grow weeds that pass through
What about sheep? Imay have a source of that

Well I'm now the proud owner of another piece of metalworking history.

A 1920's Brockhaus Heuer Primus bench vice.
It looks weird at first but it's a small 100mm, swivel (swivellable) vice
That's why of the round base and the rear jaw welded on the base instead of the opposite
Primus usually have the front jaw welded on the base, rear jaw moves.
That's why they called the model we all know Front.
I won't be surprised if I'll find some weird Nazi symbol on it

No, but then I have never eaten tomatoes. The thought of eating anything grown on the stuff from the sewage farm doesn’t bother me though

Lego did good there. Just as ugly as the real modern MotoGP bikes.
I can't wait for 2027 when they go back to 850cc with less electricary and aerodynamics.

The reason I believe that Rossi really is the GOAT is that he won on the 125, 250, 500 two strokes and then on all the four stroke configurations until his retirement.
