might as well give an update, works as expected, feels solid. if i have one observation, its "gas-noisy", comparing to a lfex head because i dont have a CK for comparison.

Don’t beat yourself up about it. I was working in Thailand and bought a waterproof watch that the seller demonstrated by dropping it into my pint of beer, “Brilliant” I thought until I looked at it the following morning and noticed that it had 13 hrs on its analog face and was full of water ! Sorry to hear that you’ve been scammed but we all make mistakes.

You're not allowing for other costs & expenses though. Time, packaging, wear & tear on printer etc.

Just don't expose your wrist til late on in the pub no no will know ..... I've a couple mates who have some very good fakes indeed so when there mugged they won't lose much :laughing:

but some times in reality when you've nice watches do you not question when / where you can ware them

Ive a Rollex Submariner a bluesy there nicknamed. I bought it in 1999, and until I went to work in Angola, I wore it everyday. Stopped wearing it at home when doing the stonework on my barns, as it was knocking hell out of it.

But times are gradually changing, especially in the big cities, phones and watches are high value items.

Someone I know well has a lovely gold necklace which was valued at £3000 on weight alone , 36 years ago , she says she dare not wear it on show .

My Nephews Indian wife is also very wary of wearing her jewelry outside of the house or garden or closed door private party's

I'll never buy an expensive watch for the same reason I only need one that is a good time keeper . To this end when my self winding quartz watch died in October 2025 after 14 yrs loyal service and three new wrist bracelets , I got a new £ 43
Chinese quartz battery job with an easy on the eye simple readable dial to it . If I could have found one without a second hand on it I'd have gone for that instead.

Nice watches/ jewels are just nice things to own, totally pointless really, but we all need to spend our money on something. Cant take it with you! To be honest my watch is worth similar relatively to what I paid for it, apart from the service costs
