Still used by some Fishermen, excellent for sharpening their knives, if one is not available the harbour wall (sand stone) does a good job as wellI was going to say scythe, but you beat me to it.

Nope. Removable carpenters vice. Could use it for the odd mitre I suppose. Holds vertically against the bench or horizontally on the bench. Handy for doors and windows too. Be a pig to set a mitre in that.Mitre clamp.
And 4 pairs of hands to hold it all in position while you tighten it up. :/

Those stands would be nice to mount a big vice to.Nice haul today, spotted these at the side of the road left out for the tatters...
