I should assume so, I purchased them from Ali.

I purchased two first as I wasn't expecting the genuine thing, took 12 days to get to me and I was pleasantly surprised.

They look, behave and charge as absolutely legit, I can't imagine a company to go to that trouble to fake em', so I bought 4 more.

There are 4-5 companies on Ali claiming to sell the genuine thing.

It will be a clone. While they may or not be good, I think I'd prefer an obvious fake to one pretending to be the real thing.

I notice some.amazon listings which appear to be genuine batteries, are apparently genuine casings with clone innards, noticably without the cell balance connections wired up, therefore they have a short life and potentially dangerous. Worth opening them up to check!

I imagine a result of the way amazon group listings and may have had one bad seller with fakes.

Interested to hear what you think of the forge battery when you have a chance to use it for a bit. I have alot of Milwaukee tools and all standard 5.0 batteries. May get a high output or forge one soon.

Hopefully get to use it this weekend with the new plunge saw. I’ve got a few sheets of ply and mdf board to cut down so will have chance to compare 5ah, 9ah and the Forge 8ah.
All I’ve managed to do so far is charge it in a Rapid Charger (I can’t justify £200 on a supercharger) which took about an hour from 1 bar and it’s was noticeable cooler than other battery straight off the charger. Size wise it’s about the same dimensions and weight of the 9ah

got a small long reach air powered cut off tool for getting into awkward places, will come in handy for the talbot
will be a bit annoying wheeling the compressor out but got to take advantage of the cheaper and less bulky air tools compared to battery

My colleague borrowed my engine driven welder three weeks ago.
He said it wasn't starting anymore after one week.
Then he found an excuse every single time I've asked him about going to take it back.
Today was the day...
He said he forgot about an important thing he has to do .
Then I've said him that I'll go there after he comes back home.
He changed colour
Now I'm concerned.
I'm going there in roughly an half hour to take it back .
Honestly
If it's broken things that happen, if it caught on fire idem, if the engine exploded same thing it could have been happened when I was using it myself but as an adult person tell me the truth.
It can have been stolen, unfortunately things that might happen but I want to know what.
Anyways I'm going to take it back home.
It's a material thing and he's a colleague I'm not going mad for that but it's enough annoying for me right now, because I don't know what happened to it or even if he still has it

Grind an edge on the end of a bit of old hacksaw blade, and it'll do handsomely....

He didn't call.
He didn't answer the phone
But I've patiently waited him in front of his door...
He eventually had to come back home.
I was there, and I've took my engine driven back home.
First thing first
Opened the fuel valve
Chocke
Pulled once
Pulled twice and started up as always does.
Little warm up
Voltmeter said auxiliary power was there
Connected the welding leads and it welds.
I've shut it off.
Now he said he didn't used it...
Welding leads were not tidied up but all tangled together.
Paint off the tail pipe so it has been used for a lot longer than I ever did.
I think
He said it didn't work so I would have said him to get it fixed...
Or whatever do he could have kept it for longer or say he took to somewhere and got stolen.
Anyways it's back home finally
