Yes and I am after another 2 but these help skid cars into the awkward spaces with some help from a jackI'd expect you need four to lift a car?
Got 2 of these car lifters today to help moves the cars about
I have the same one, (a Mitutoyo branded version) with a magnetic base, absolutely brilliant bits of kit...Scored another nice little trinket at an auction. Went to collect it yesterday.View attachment 479812View attachment 479813
They cost about £150 each but I picked up a pair for £100 from a guy who used them once so they were a bargain or I would have not got themAfter a very helpful chap used one of these to help the RAC man get my car (with broken suspension arm) off the low-loader, I was looking for a set of these, because I like to be self-sufficient and he isn't there all the time, and because I had a neighbour who kept leaving his van in a spot where it prevented my shed door from opening. I never found any at a reasonable price, and the neighbour has moved out now, so I can't really justify them. And I bought a set of the cheap ones where you have to jack the car up, and they've been used once and it'll be ages before I use them again. Probably.
I almost got a set of four for about £250 from FB marketplace, but I was trying to get measurements to see if they'd fit in my car for collection, or whether I'd have to ask a mate with a bigger car to take me, when someone else bought them. The down side of having a smaller car, I guess. They cost about £150 each but I picked up a pair for £100 from a guy who used them once so they were a bargain or I would have not got them
Benefit of being young...I keep mine in my single lock up out of sight from anyone , I’ve had it for years and only one very good friend has used it , even then I was with him
I’m in the same boat- bought one many years ago but nowadays it’s only used once or twice a year- but it costs me nothing sitting there waiting…I wouldn't want to be without mine now, but it only gets a few outings a year, and I sometimes wonder if it's objectively worth hanging on to.

Ok so it costs to renew tyres when they age. Oh and the floor when it rotted. Oh and it needs a service as a brake is stuck on. but APART from that it costs me nothing..![]()
Which is part of the reason my wheels come off after every use and get stored in the shed . . . makes it a bit harder to simply tow away too.I’m in the same boat- bought one many years ago but nowadays it’s only used once or twice a year- but it costs me nothing sitting there waiting…

They're not cheap.
It certainly is a nice quality tool. According to google they are in de region of €270/€300 new. I got this one for €70.I have the same one, (a Mitutoyo branded version) with a magnetic base, absolutely brilliant bits of kit...

I have offered multiple people in need of a way to move big heavy stuff the use of my trailer and they're always too scared to tow the thing even if I spend some time "sitting by nelly" to familiarise them with towing.

Thats nice, what will it cut?Well yesterday actually, I got my “ desktop” waterjet cutter. Just need to get a suitable water supply up on the Mezzanine floor.
