Useful bits from 2 old microwave oven gifted by my uncle as scrap metal.
Saved the transformers, 4 or 5 thermal switches ranging better 85 to 150°C, 7 or 8 micro switches, what looks like to be some sort of relay.

Onevan 140Nm Comby impact drill
It was on a discount at 62 something euro with two 3Ah batteries.
Actually cheaper than the bare unit.
This pretends to be the Makita DHP486? Clone.
Little bit longer clutch assembly
Maybe got it cheaper because they already make an hybrid clone of Milwaukee, DeWalt and Makita designs all together in one drill, on this other one you can dim the light, on mine not.
Probably discontinued.
On the onevan website they claim 650Nm which is not going to happen not even thinkable, but on Amazon they claim a more plausible value.
The real Makita should have 130Nm, we know Parkside made a 120Nm or it was 80Nm anyways my 5 plus years old brushless Parkside is dieing and 60Nm have been enough for everything I've ever needed.
Some times I've needed an auxiliary handle and wasn't meant to have one so I've break bits, ruined holes, torqued my wrists...
We'll see another disassembled clone very soon

If its half as good as a genuine dhp486 it will still be a good drill.
We have a 486 at the men's shed and it's a beast of a drill, several of the members have had sore wrists because they didn't respect its torque.

Torque adapter gadget from Ali express – seems identical to the ones on Amazon/eBay but was half the price.

Overall it seems OK - tried it on my four Norbar wrenches over a range of 20 - 140Nm and they were all within a fraction of each other and what the unit displayed.
So working on the basis of them all being consistent, if not correct - I'm pretty happy with that.

Downsides so far - It doesn't like rechargeable batteries and was playing up on those, and seems to have a bit of a brain fart when the torque wrench "clicks" off if it’s at high torque (I think you are supposed to just use it with a breaker bar).
The backlight is hopeless and overall it feels a bit cheap, but then it was.

The important thing is it goes up to 340Nm which saves my buying a larger torque wrench to do one job, and based off the results so far - I'd trust it.
Longevity wise, we'll see - but assuming it lasts it looks a handy bit of kit for the money.

I've watched the project farm video.
The Makita dhp given for 120Nm humiliated the Milwaukee M18 fuel given for 140Nm.
I hope it's at least at the same level of the 120Nm Parkside (they made the 150Nm variant too but not that great).
I can always return it back if it doesn't satisfy me because I've bought it on Amazon.
I've found a solution for the Chinese batteries compatibility.
They don't fit on original Makita chargers.
I've found out they sell empty battery packs on AliExpress for cheap, and they have the PCB too.
I'm thinking about getting 5 of those and convert the batteries by swapping enclosure and PCB, it should be straight forward not a great problem.
I've got a replacement 4Ah from yofidra as I complained about the battery flying off the 3/4" impact under heavy load (easily solvable by adding little rubber thingy in the battery well)
So got a free battery after refusing a 5 euro refound, as I've said them I wasn't asking for money but to know if there was something I could do to solve the problem avoiding the battery to fall.

Been looking for other style crimp jaws for my old RS crimper. Separately they seem quite expensive.
Took a punt on these off ebay which include 5 types for £13. Quite surprised how good they are for the cost.

I get to look in there recycling, reject bins, as I look after their alarms.

Before it closed our Air Ambulance shop had a great range of tools.

I've got the orange version

I'm very impressed with it, I tested my 1/4" Teng and old Sykes Picavant 3/8" wrenches and they were both spot on. That's the SP one set to 60Nm.
I then tested my 1/2" Draper one that I suspected was bad and it was absolutely miles out.

Very random selection,the tyres been bugging me since I removed the wheel in January,then left the bike up on blocks against the punching machine,to the annoyance of my workman. Just fitted the brushes (after filling to fit),to a makita battery grinder and it would only illuminate the red light yet not start,the same battery wouldn’t start my makita drill either,however,would start the knockoff impact wrench,possibly a faulty,genuine,battery that the knockoff doesn’t recognise? Good news is ,my other batteries run the grinder and drill ok.
