It was an Eastern European guy. I asked him how he come by it. the guy just shrugged and said "I am builder, sometimes I get things in my work".

I did fire a text over to the guy whose name was on the item on the number I had for him but never got a reply so who knows?

I got a one-time 15% code so put an order in for a few consumables and bargain odds and ends from Zoro.

I've been struggling with some of those spring hose clips which they seem to love to place in impossible to access locations.
Thought I'd try this tool out for next time, a quick test and it seems to be OK. Sold under several brands at different prices, but I imagine all out of the same factory.
I've been meaning to get a remote cable one, but the cheap ones are rubbish and the good ones aren't cheap, so hopefully this will do the job. Sharpie for scale.

Used this today Brad for the first time, seems like a very well built bit of kit, comes with a calibration certificate and a warranty, the push on connector which stays on until you want it released is very handy, I don’t have any doubts that it’ll last.

@Brad93 also have this PCL inflator, probably about 4 yrs old now. It's really good, seems to be fairly accurate and repeatable compared to my digital gauge, mine has the push on connector that you have to hold on

Well, not today but yesterday, went to meet @Onoff at his place of work near Moorgate station, he has the most amazing views of Londonistan I have seen, truly terrific, anyway he kindly gave me a pair of batteries he had acquired for me all boxed up nicely, he also offered a bag but being blokish I declined his kind offer as "I can carry that". Anyway off I went on my way and dropped in to see an old friend in his office in the West End and he too offered a carrier bag, by this time my foolishness had passed and I thanked him for his offer and he put my box in a bag, it was only later as I was walking up the Tottenham Court road did I realise what he had done. The bag was perfect for the job BUT the logo, I could be killed here:



Now I happen to know what that is and I would guess any decent watch thief would too, I decided to jump in a cab back to the station. It is the logo for this company:



My pal had decided to treat himself earlier in the week and still had the bag in his office. I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb and I was very relieved when I was on the train with the bag under the seat.

The thing on the bottom right is intriguing for a quid. It appears to be a way to cut out large-ish circular holes, but I don't know whether it will cut steel or not - any advice on that (other than "try it and see") would be appreciated. If it cuts steel it'll be really useful.

It's most likely a montolit circle cutter for making holes on tiles using a specific tool.
This thing is obsolete nowadays since diamond core drills became so cheap, and are faster and easier to use

Bought this crimper on Amazon, it's 10 tons, and does 4-6-8-10-16-25-35-50-75 mm²
Picked up because I need for few projects I've in program, plus I've bought it because we have to wire a 100kVA genset to run a water jet my boss and a colleague bought few months ago.
We have to run 25mm² cables from the generator to the hydraulic pump which runs 6 100mm rod size hydraulic cylinders, and those squiz water through a 0.2mm jet at around 2000 bar of pressure .

Anyway 49 euros for an hydraulic crimper? Can't say no to it

@The_Yellow_Ardvark I have one of the tank cutters in the lower photo, I used it for cutting the holes for instruments in the dashboards of a couple of cars I built. Slow, but take your time with a carpenters brace & they do a good job.
