Not today but couple of weeks ago I acquired a new phone after the old one broke.

It's a pixel 7a...bloomin hate the thing. Whatever I type on it seems to come out all wrong! I'm constantly correcting my posts.

Missing my old phone (Motorola)...had a bigger screen and the battery seemed to last twice as long too.

So annoyed!

FWIW My 21 yr old son has a Pixel something or other and seems to get on well with it, I am sure you are right in that they are loved by the youngsters, just a bit more complicated to set up than a older phone.

I really miss my Motorola...wish I had just bought a refurb one. The battery on the Motorola would go for 3+ days between charges.

The pixel seems to need charging every evening.

It's just annoying buying something new and finding it's not as good as the old thing you gut rud got rid of .

have you looked at the phone setting and most are set to auto so adjustment to the ambient light turn this off or use the brightness to a set level should stop that

Yeah the auto adjust is never bright enough and it randomly just turns the brightness down when in manual mode.

Just find some reason to deal with Powertoolmate's customer service, and it'll quite quickly solve any addiction.

Had no cause yet and by the sound of it I'm hoping I won't need to .........any way I think I'm about cured of the red addiction for now . Took the driver to work today for a play it is good for it's size but it's not the the miracle the muricans on YT would have you believe when it's up against another quality 18v , as long as you remember it's a 12 I don't think you'd be dissapointed

Gave it a try on a good size log around 18" tall last week, & same here. Split it much easier than my old axe ever would.

I am getting too old to split things with my big maul, it gives me back trouble, these are much lighter to swing with a good result!

I also picked up one of these Mercedes / Weber 3 tonne german made bottle jacks. New unused.

It's got 2x ram stages so gives it a very tall lifting height. Will be ideal for engine or transmission mount replacement.

Amongst my steel delivery was this 2m length which I was lucky to get off a 10m bar,I shall now double mitre cut one end of a 170mm piece,then split down the middle.
The jacks are part way to me collecting 3 more,needed to jack my workshop up 4’.
The hammerite was reluctantly purchased to paint the Falklands eagle.
