A second one of these frameless tape-measures:
The first one I bought has become my most used tape measure (and I reach for it more often than the longer steel rulers too). Being curved the other way to most tape measures (high in the middle rather than high at the edges) makes it useful for marking on flat surfaces and it's small enough to live in a pocket all the time. It doesn't have a belt clip (not strictly true, but the clip it comes with is rubbish), but it's small enough not to need one. It also doesn't have a hook on the end like a normal tape measure, but for most of the time I don't need that and when I do, I just grab a normal tape measure.
The only problem with them is they seem to be like rocking horse droppings in the UK (especially the decent metric only ones). They both came from ebay (new) for about a tenner; I'll probably by one or two more if I see them pop up again for a similar price. The Tape Store seems to sell them for £14 (3m) or £11 (2m), but I think there's postage on top of that.

It's worth doing, the pump spray bottles are so much better than aerosols. I buy brake cleaner in 25L bottles, works out much cheaper. (About £56 for 25L.)

It wouldn't. Once you have loads, you use it for more tasks, because you know you can.

It certainly seems to last much longer than 5x 5L for some reason.

Finished what I started yesterday. The front of the garage was also in chaos but now sorted and can see the S430 V8 I want to get re-installed. It's faired very well for sitting for 2x years after being cleaned and re-sealed.

Are you sure you haven't used the same photo and just photoshopped some bits out?

Yes an m119, I'd take the jammie dodgers OK but not the om646! Single timing chain disasters those things.

Well i'll be over shortly for the swap!
I never really had chain issues with the OM646/7/8. Aren't they double-row? Lots of injector and glow plug problems, but nothing terminal.
I'm waiting for my Sprinter's OM651 to start rattling, but it's on 139k and it's fine so far.

Yes your right I mixed up my diesel 4 bangers there - its the 651s which give quite a bit of trouble in my experience. I've replaced a timing chain on one with only 60k miles on it which is very bad for a Mercedes normally the chains last 250k miles+ but with the new fangled single row chains auto manufacturers are reverting to, there are alot of failures.
It's funny as we went from single chains breaking in 80s to duplex chains which last forever then back to single row chains again(?) And even worse, locate them to the back of the engine where the guiides are totally inaccessible without removing the transmission too.
