Did you get the tool box those trays come from?A rather nice selection of almost all A/F spanners.
A few handy bendy no-name ones but lots of well-known names, King Dick, Kamasa, Acesa, Williams Superslim, Gordon, Britool…
Neighbour was going to throw them in a skip!View attachment 408171
One of my least favourite paint colours, somehow, matts ok when it’s 50 years old and the gates rusty and weathered,my favourites most shades of grey and certain greens, satin blacks not too bad. This product is water based, wonder how long it will last?
The drills are from a regular supplier where I also get core drills from.View attachment 408144View attachment 408145
Any advice you can offer regarding etching anodised aluminium? We have a laser at work (25W, I would guess) and have only ever used it with plastics and timber. I've always assumed it wouldn't touch metal. I have free access at work and wouldn't mind giving it a try.It is just a diode laser so only any good for cutting wood/paper etc so not sure if that is what you are after when you mention trumpf.
I bought it because I wanted to etch anodised aluminium instead of having to do it via the milling machine, also wanted it for etching text onto stainless panels and tests this evening show it works well.
It cost me £550 on the Prime deal, list is £699 but I usually see it hovering between £600 and £650.
Pic of the stainless etching on a scrap from the plasma, outlines and fills.

Well not really as those were my first attempts, they did come out good however.Any advice you can offer regarding etching anodised aluminium? I knew a painter and decorator who used to fall out of bed every night with his missus because he preferred a mat finishI'm of the same mindset. Don't mind satin's at all, but matt just doesn't do it for Matt.![]()
