Neighbour asked me if I could make use of it.

It is big
Looks like it might be a power float? What's it do?
What's it do?
I hope you keep the camera handyI think that'll be a test of @8ob's driving skills
A friend of mine brought some of that back, he spilt some on their table and set light to it, the mark is still there where it stripped the varnish.I brought a bottle of Bacardi 151 proof back from Puerto Rico once that had one of those on the neck of the bottle!! It had a flammable warning on the back and a big notice not to remove the “flame arrestor”![]()
The public highway is only about 20 foot to the right of the new road , it's a pleasure to drive long the new laid stone , any rain will simply gently percolate through the stones for years to come .... long before any land slip occurs as the base of the road is made up of the dark grey limestone rocks & porous finings
Is it a 625 or a 630? I would guess a 625, same as minePicked this up for a few shillings today it's a good starter and runs sweet. Anyone now much about them? View attachment 341184
I managed to set a nut insert on the inside of a square tube on a bench saw crushing the flange on the outside . Putting a foot or so of copper wire down through the hole so it poked out the tube / threaded the inverted nut on the copper & gently fed it up into the hole then started to press it up using a small pry bar . Used a short tube longer than the shank and several threads , that was clearance for a high tensile Allen cap screw . Then Allen keyed it tight which drew the insert though and flattened the skirt nicely .Cheers for the offer.![]()
I don't have a car any more. Besides, now I've got one, it's there if I ever need it again. You know what it's like once you acquire a new tool. You start finding uses for it.

You also acquired a solar thermal pump, cylinder and controller that are currently in storage in my shed.Today a very nice man from the IoW delivered me 17, solar thermal, evacuated tubes! These to replace my damaged ones.
I'm sorry to be a party pooper, but I really cannot see them cutting through 18mm steel.
Went to the party, got laidand it's 19mm.
OK not full rounds, more like 2/3rds which helped with chip clearance and some steady squirts of WD. Light steady pressure and it made progress pretty quickly.
Got 2 more goes needed on the 2 1/2" cutter for this folly project...

I have one of those, excellent, and for the money, unbelievable.I got one of theses via Yodel at 17.00 hrs today.. The steel transportation case is about half as thick as bean tin metal , The tool holder had torn through it leaving a 2 inch gash in the end wall , paint off the body in ten or more places ..due to the tools , spare brushes ,point and chisel taking a wander inside the packing on its 6,000 mile journey to me ?
Plenty of oil creep from joints & holes on the body but a quick wipe off and an unladen test run for three minutes to warm it up as per the manual ,I always RTFM even on B&Q store cabinet assemblies )
As it weighs 27 kg I put it on my 4 wheel articulated garden trolley and dragged it off to where it's going to be used in anger tomorrow .
Set it up on a 40 foot heavy duty extension cable running out of the log cabin ,then breath held for a few seconds used it with the chisel to crack up five inches of lean mix topped with 40 mm vibrated cast slabs around the cast in situ pond I did 15 years ago .
It fair blew them apart .. heavy work for an old fool like me , glad I was called for teatime after I'd lifted 10 foot of this 2 foot wide edging and stored the beast away for the night .
All in all it's like a Kango medium demo hammer but at 2000 watt , I'm well pleased.
I spent a while looking on eBay for it and eventually found it on a site with UK stocks that dropped the price by £ 20 more from the sale price if I purchased it within 6 seconds plus an additional 15 % discount . Quite pleased, the same model was £198 + VAT & carriage three years ago . I paid £122 including carriage VAT already paid . .
I chose to purchase rather than hire as the local hire place only does 110 volt so I'd have to also hire a decent meaty transformer . As I'm 71 & 80 % disabled I can't always guarantee I can complete jobs in the hire periods . Plus I can always keep it clean & tidy then sell if for more than I paid for it in three years time ....
I sold a tip top looking Thule three cycle tow bar mounted cycle rack to fund the purchase . only paid £94 for it four years ago , sold it last week for £ 146 , Halfords price £ 220 or more new a week before Easter![]()
I'm told you can do an external one easily using a 1/2 " flat bar long enough to be clamped in place with a clearance hole for the Allen key , use a quality claw hammer if you have space to set the externally fitted Rivinut . Clamp the clearance holed bar over the nut , wind in the Allen screw and claw the head up on a round bar pivot .
