The batteries are cheap enough to replace, they are the lead acid batteries that are in mobility scooters and kids quads etc.

Cheep place was to order them from screwfix, as they are found in Alarm systems.

its only a few years old its been charged every few months so the battery should be fairly good

I treated myself to this palm router so I can fit door hinges more easily. It's a nice piece of kit although the fine adjuster is a bit awkward and the fence graduations very course.

I spent yesterday fitting the small toilet door (a job I have been putting off for ages)
I had measured and cut the door top and bottom as it was a bit tall before I noticed the gaps between the vertical panels were not the same colour as the oak face! It was a poorly manufactured door with the pine showing through
So that was another trip to Wickes for a new one!
Anyway the router did a good job and the hinges are in and look ok.

I bought a palm router for the same job but have used it loads since. Really handy and make such a nice job of hinges if you’re steady.

Yes it's a bit nerve wracking doing the bits without the guide but gives a nice straight line with just enough clearance to tap the hinges into place.

These are monro tillers, good heavy lumps with villiers mk12s on them. Would like a ransomes at some point. We did have an Allen mower years ago, think we gave it away!
Had a big Howard rotavator too, and a land master, which was a killing machine

Just fettling the Allen, converted it to coil and battery, so easier to start. Used to have a big Howard on the farm in Portugal. Petrol converted to run on TVO, which was much cheaper.

After losing yet another expensive rems pipe cutter £140. Buried somewhere in Norfolk. I just got this from amazon for £12.06 it feels quite heavy duty and it just cut a 63mm mdpe pipe.

I have the same model, if its any use to you I take the extraction round the back where its baffled and that bit with the stub pipe on the side is the vent. I just taped a bit of filter gauze over it to stop sand blowing out, drawing from the side was sucking too much sand out

This arrived at work today, they paid for it so thats where it stays, but after about 10 minutes of using it.

I can see its twin moving into the garage at home and my bank balance taking another hit and the Speedglas 9100xx sitting on the shelf.

Hope you used extra sealant on all joins as well as the tape supplied . . . or wherever you site it will be covered in a film of fine dust . . .

Nearly a whole tube of mastic went into this, glad I went for clear as it was pouring out from the joints when tightening up!

but don't bother running an extra line up the joints inside the cabinet after it is together. I did this and after a while they peeled off and kept blocking the grit extraction

Had a sore arm since my first jab a couple of months ago, and I always wake up with pain if I rollover in my sleep on it. Told the nurse when I had the second jab and she said her Mother and a lot of other patients have had the same experience.
