A new lathe
I know it's gone sideways, uploading photos has been fine all weekend but now everything has rotated
A massive thanks to @pete for bringing it up to me today (all masked up and covid safe) and giving me a quick rundown on it before the snow got really bad and he had to go.
I've had a little play and love it!
It's too cold now so time to warn up.

Nice to meet you mate. Sorry I couldn't stay any longer but that snow was crazy. I drove down a pleasantly quiet lane making way for smiling dog-walkers and people out for a stroll, then an hour later had to creep at walking pace through the arctic circle!

Mind you, I was better off than this guy, who I had to stop and take a snap of

From @brad via the powder coaters, door name plates for myself and my son. My son has a cocker spaniel, we seem to be stray cat magnets, three new cats appeared today.
The plates are 3mm steel. The cat one has a blank aluminium plate in black to highlight the image.

New toy probably not the best but it fits in the space I have perfect and should do most the stuff I need it too

A set of very accurate G clamps. The big ones will be handy for clamping plates on the pillar drill so i'm looking forward to getting started on that job.

Just a couple tools for the lathe.
Right handed quad turn (aka insert drill) to replace the left handed one I'm currently using to avoid needing to reverse the spindle when drilling/boring the hole it gets used for.
And a SCLCL holder to replace a SDFCL holder, so I can use my stock of CCMT inserts, instead of DCMT inserts.

They are for a small Powerfab 125 towable, don’t laugh it does everything I need, it’s cheaper than hiring and easier than a spade.

each drawer is about 8ins deep, so should be better for tool storage than a standard filing cabinet.

I've go two of those they are fantastic.

Vice bending jaws. Either they sent me a bigger one or my vice has shrunk. Quick test made a soldering iron holder bracket, so that I no longer have it wedged in a slightly open bottom draw as I have for the last 5 years.

Few meters of h05rn-f cable to replace the kinked, short, annoying h03vv on the soldering iron. I couldnt find anything more flexible rated for 240v but Im interested if theres a better option.
