Today I acquired...........

This morning I paid a visit to my local scrap yard for the first time in about two weeks and whilst there I spotted this Fronius Transpocket 1500 in a skip.

I have no idea if it's working or not yet, but I only swapped a few lead acid batteries for it in the hope that if it does need a bit of work to get it going it can be done reasonably cheaply.

Fingers crossed.

Unfortunately, they’re scrap unless you know a guy who is good with boards. I’ve got one sat in a box somewhere.

You might get lucky. Kilkenny welding supplies used to be the stockists and agents for Fronius here.

i just fixed a thermal arc inverter turned out it had been droped ans snaped a bit of the pcb board was not a 20 min fix but was fixable worth cheaking around the pcb board see if there are any cracks on the board

Even if it's scrap, the case would make a cool lunch box or tool box or rod storage or PPE storage.

First car boot since lock down began, not a bad haul, pack of 1.6 316 rods and some bronze rods too. Couple of rolls of Emery, some decent clear coat, a box of stainless M5 bolts and a schrader air line fitting.

New bit holder and a pack of bits, proper impact rated ones, with a bit of luck they'll last a little longer than the nasty old ones I've been using. For what they cost, they wanna last a lot longer!

They feel like quality at least, the holder has a death grip on the bits.

I still smash them to bits, tried all makes and I've settled on Dewalt simply because a box of 20 can be had for under £5

You're not alone, under the outside staircase there's a small 'shed'. had a broken brick / dirt floor, cleaned it out to find limestone paving slabs
