I also bought a concrete breaker, broke up 100m2 of concrete between 4 and 8" thick. Again for less than the price of a kew days hire of a kango. It allowed me to do it at my leisure rather than booking time off work and spending all day every day for 3 days at it.

When it was done off on ebay it went and I got almost 1/2 what I paid for it back.

Apparently they are a badge engineered Erbauer model, could possibly be the same for other tools in the range?

The only Titan powertool I have is a hedge trimmer, doesn't matter if it packs up mid job.
I do admit, I was fairly impresssd with it, plenty of power.
Excellent value at £30- ideal for the once in a blue moon user.

Just about all my other powertools are decent gear, only one I'd still like to upgrade is the biscuit cutter. Nothing more frustrating than inaccurate tools or something that gives up the ghost mid job.... By the time you've packed up and gone off to find a hire shop or buy new you may as well buy decent to begin with.

I also bought the 5KG SDS drill and, while it's hardly subtle, for the money it does a decent job. Went through breeze block that just laughed at my hammer drill.

Probably not for long. The main reason the Chinese tend to churn out tat is not due to them being incapable of producing good gear. Quite the opposite, in most cases. Hell, they were technologically advanced when we were still burning witches in this country. The reason they palm off tat is because that's what our suppliers and manufacturers pay them to produce; goods at the cheapest price point, hence the tat. Give it a few years and we'll be seeing much better stuff come out of China, once our large companies have changed country's to exploit for cheap labour.

On the plus side, it'll make me chuckle to see the reaction on some American forums once that happens. I honestly think a good portion of them would point blank refuse to ever accept that China can produce better gear than the USA, even if they physically had two products in their hand, one from China and one from USA, and the USA made on snapped on them during use.

I would look at it this way, communist China was producing junk products way before the recent export boom time, when engineers went over from big western companies to oversee the quality we got the good stuff, and the other companies started to copy western products, now they are gaining experience and improving quality off the back of that. But their standard of living is also growing, so their wages will have to rise, which will even things out somewhat. Their disadvantage is the education system doesnt allow free thinking, which is why we lead in design, and they do the dirty hands on work.

I have dewalt and hitatchi combo drills, a Makita impact drill, Bosch blue grinders and a few Milwaukee 10.8v things like sanders, and the titan gear feels as well built as all of it, except maybe the dewalt drill feels a bit more sturdy with its metal chuck. I have a dewalt cordless sds drill too, bought the titan for ripping tiles down as I didn't want to knacker the battery on the dewalt as ibe heard they overheat. Prefer using the titan for most things now unless there is no power and I haven't got the Genny out already

For the money... You can't beat an Erbauer sander. Nice and heavy, 2 year guarantee. I run a detail sander and 6" random orbital.

That's the extent of my 'cheap' tools. The rest is makita, dewalt and Hilti

The surprising thing is, the local farm hardware store had it for nearly the same price as in Germany, not for the first time they've been really good on tool prices.
The feedback from the farmers about Einhell has been good, so I decided to take a punt on it.
