I just run it down a measuring stick. So long as the stick has more vertical angle than the side of the tin and is touching the rim of the tin, it will run down the stick. It's especially useful when mixing basecoat with thinner and the tin is really full.

thought I'd find a video instead of explaining... could have explained 10 times faster than I found a video!
This is what I do too. Works a treat.thought I'd find a video instead of explaining... could have explained 10 times faster than I found a video!
think you answered your own question ,ladle/scoop.done.I needed to spray a few small items from my JCB 3CX this morning - OK have a 2.5 litre tin of RAL1007 - but need less than a third of a paper cup. By the time I'd poured from the nearly full tin I'd spilt more than i was going to use. And it ain't cheap this paint stuff.
Now in retrospect I should perhaps have ladled it out but come on you experts, there MUST be a better way !
We need to take up a collection....so you can step up to a real spray gun....."STAND BACK !"I didn't manage to get any on my clothes, probably a first, my hands and boots, well yes, obviously, I'm crap a painting things, yes a paint brush was involved.
