The ones I have taken photos of?Those are left hand threads.

Unless the photos have been mirrored, they are right hand threads.Yep, left hand threads.

I'm assuming you're going of the extra notch in the hex, that can be used to signify something is left hand thread?
I don't suppose you can find a link to 10mm 1.0 threads that look like this.
I would like to do a repair with a helicoil and loctite a fitting in but retaining the facility to remove brake lines if needed without pulling the threads out of the calipers.

Still need one of these. Anyone got a link or a name to search for. Apparently the copper washer does not seal as I drilled the thread slightly off vertical. There are tools specifically made for the seats.

Damn hard to hold it on the mill.
So it looks like we need to weld it and make a fixture to hold the caliper vertical.and straight.
Mum I can't find it on their website.
All I get are spot drills. Which I guess would do the job anyway. Or step drills which won't...90° chamfer drill

The notch used to be used to identify metric fittingsThat notch is pretty common on a lot of brake and air fittings even when they're right handed, no idea why.
I think that's my problem. The new thread is on a slight angle and the copper washer won't seal. Do you just heat up and cool copper washers to make them softerI have never had a problem with helicoils on calipers before.
I normally fit them as standard if I I have to strip a caliper down or fit them.
I presume its on the hydraulic side, just make sure the outer face is clean/square and use a fitting with a copper washer for sealing.
cooper washer, yes cherry red then let them cool to re annela themI think that's my problem. The new thread is on a slight angle and the copper washer won't seal. Do you just heat up and cool copper washers to make them softer
One problem I am having is the recess is smaller than the od of the thread so it's also easy to move it when tightening it up.
