Good to see the Parmster back on board
Bob
I haven’t been called the Parmster in a very long time, school days I think was the last time

I'll keep everybody posted. Lots to think about. I should have mentioned it laughed at my Bosch 18v impact driver, which struggles with a wheelnut the average gerbil could undo.
That big DeWalt thing looks the dog's danglies though.
Only issue is the snap on hasnt moved on with the competition and they are really dated- good but dated ! The milwaukee 9Ah batteries are really good, i have 2x 4Ah that gave up the gost but the 9Ah are holding well ! They are fragile if you drop them- they split but a bit of superglue or poliurethane stick them back for good ! I am using milwaukee tools since the 90's and i agree- since TTI took over they are not a patch on what milwaukee tools used to be...they still raising the stakes every year !We’ve got them at work. Realistically, the quoted figures are exaggerated. I really don’t rate them or the batteries.
The most powerful, tested, 18V impact gun is the Milwaukee one.
Milwaukee batteries are junk though and the bodies are made of cheese.
Can’t beat snap on, tried and tested, still the same years after they were released.
Only issue

Me too, nothing has beaten it yet, fantastic on rusted nuts...they come off too hot to handle.I have the new milwaukee onekey 1/2'' impact cordless gun, its a beast
That might be handy for tight spaces, but you don't get much of a mechanical advantage with such a short Lever.View attachment 191216 This might be ur answer iv used them for areas I couldn get into with the gun or not enough space to turn a big bar and they work very well and not to expensive either
They’re small little things though aren’t they? The scaffolders love them.I've a hilt 18v impact gun.
It's a few years old but it's useless on anything tight.
Wheel nuts are just about it's limit.
Is that nut done up that tight for a reason or do they get like that?
You knock Snap-on for not going brushless but Hilti are still brushed aren't they? They are certainly innovative and their tools get lighter and more powerful every year for sure. But the quality just isn’t there.
You’re right about snap on, they haven’t gone brushless or gone to more powerful batteries yet.
You don’t see Milwaukee on jobsites, because it just will not last.
My dads Milwaukee drill and impact driver are both fubar. They’re two years old. The rubber grips are all coming away from the plastic housing. The chuck on the combi drill is perhaps one of the worst I’ve ever used.
One battery has stopped taking charge now too. Must have a dead cell or something.
My snap on combi drill still looks like new.
Personally if I was in building or construction, I’d have Hilti on the fleet scheme. Their stuff is honestly so far beyond the competition, it’s insane.
I reckon you are going to need a torque multiplier, something like 5-1 advantage which will make undoing easy and give you a chance to torque it up properly when it goes back on.

Been busy testing Milwaukee's Jigsaw... It may have been on the edge of a floor board 20ft up when said floorboard got stood on, proceeded to go through the rotten floor joists catapulting aforementioned jigsaw another couple of feet up in the air and through the big hole in the floor to the slate slab floor below.Dont mention Milwaukee, you'll wake up Ed @sako243![]()

That said, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'd get Hilti if I could afford it but you'd get three DeWalts for the price. The specs (On paper at least) are higher on a lot of DeWalt too, though that could just be that Hilti aren't so heavily into the marketing yank.
i can vouch for one of these, just dont use it with non impact sockets as they crack and fly apart easilyGet one of these.

1625Nm breakaway torque, the only bolts it doesn't loosen are the ones it snaps.![]()
