Iv been stoveing pipes from 3 years old, I could run a downhand root, with 2 fingers missing an arm shot off and blind in 2 eyes... MIGS are for girls, and whatch'a looking at outside now.....
How am I doing???....
I'm not laughing in a bad way though Snowy, I am not being disrespectful, I don't want any trouble!!!![]()
Snowy's right re "lift" on the V145. "soft" and "crisp" are for stick welding.
The lift setting lowers the OCV, but also drops the current until the machine detects a closed circuit, then puts in the full weld current. Makes tungsten sticking/ inclusion much less likely than good old fashioned scratch.
My big ole V200s had no such facility, but it can take a pedal, which is a winner.
12 Litres per min, is plenty for tig, maybe a little too much, about 7-10lpm is optimum....I don't think your problem is too much gas, maybe too much current? How was your purge for the pipe that turned out worse?
