I would only want to change the black part instead of swapping consumable parts. What's the ball joint like. Is it a sturdy joint. You can't change the yellow neck part on the i-head range Richard only the black rotating part that holds the ceramic and back cap.
Excellent point. That would be an air cooled torch I assume. Yes not for me.But, one should point out, in the water cooled version, the water does NOT run around the head.
one would have thought with Richards apllication, High amps in AC/DC this would not be ideal
Wonder what the current is rated at then. No, the torch is cooled by water curculating around the handle, not the interchangable head part,
sorry 4 my spelling
Hell fire and the head is removable? That's not to be sniffed at250 amps at 100% on a Roto-head.
Might not cool ceramics as quickly either but if it has equal or better duty than the unit (which it does) it's worth considering. I didn't know this till 5 min ago but the tectorch stubby range have interchangeable heads too. Spoilt for choice. Should at least get the speedway run in first before buying another ha ha.That head MIGHT get a little to hot to handle at full amp when doing a quick change of heads
Perfectly capable of dealing with any thing that unit can deliver.FL with 20 type head is rated at 230A and with 18 type head 250A, in water cooled form.
