Ok had my mates sabo mower for a couple of years now and sorry to say he passed away from cancer later part if last year
now for the long story
He sold his big house that had a big garden a few years ago and as I fixed his mower after he run it out of oil freed it up put oil in and it run for about a year and a half but there was noises after he gave it me the piston come out if the engine there was a large 3 inch hole in the side of the engine lucky I found this engine here same one poped a bit but ran fine for 2 and a bit years but late last year the power was going down on it and it eventually stopped
Hence here we are
I've taken the head off to cheak the clearances (any one know what gaps for the valves I should be looking for? )
But at top dead center I can move the outlet port quite easy ? Looking on line this is a no no
And there is quite a bit of carbon on the head and valves I know this engine prob never been taken apart and its prob about 20 plus years old would this clean up ? Set the valves would it last ?
The bore is good nice Smooth
