a bit of a step up from using slate thenWith age comes experience?, wisdom? and aches and pains, When I first started my apprenticeship in the steel works in 1959, We had to give our job sheets into the office each day so that what we did could be charged to the correct department, No messing about with Spare pieces of steel, What we machined etc was used in the running of the works,
And the job "job sheets" nothing as fancy as paper, We all had an A4 size board that we whitewashed each day and wrote the job times and numbers in pencil, Ready to be re-whitewashed the next day, And the whitewash came from the marking-tables, Nothing so fancy as marking fluid for us.
