I'd like to see how it has 4 reverse gears, unless it's fitted with a form of overdrive unit.

Iveco =It Vibrates Everything Comes Off .
co i use to work for bought a Santana, without doubt the worst vehice i have ever driven and i have owned and driven some reall rubbish in my time![]()
i get the feeling that for all the " uncompromising 4x4" crap hes been spouting, its going to turn into a rich kids tarmac queen with the focus on making it too fast for its own goodhttps://www.ineos.com/businesses/ineos-automotive/about/
This could be interesting, espescially now BMW power has been confirmed
STD fit in south africaI drove a series Landy with a bmw 6 cylinder 3.0 it was great but terrible brakes! The chap said his next one was a 335d but was struggling with engine management
Wouldn’t bother, the 35 will give much better service than a v8 that’ll be worn out when you get it, unless it’s something specialI never knew that
Will be saving my slt 35 and replacing it hopefully with a v8 I’m bidding on at the moment
The 2.8 is just a big 300tdiat one time loads of people were putting the iveco (sofim) engines in landies
Always fancied a go with one of the old 6-cylinder Santana diesels. IIRC they were basically a 5 bearing landy 2.25 diesel redesigned with 2 extra cylinders. Supposed to be a much better engine than the 2.5 NA landy one.
Come to think of it, didn't Santana do a 5 bearing engine before Land Rover? ISTR reading that on a 4x4 forum a while back.
