Tried aluminum with it one hour ago, it welds amazingly well at higher frequencies between 120 to 150.
I had a Lorch on loan for a few weeks and found it to be excellent but the foot pedal was awful.
Have you noticed the set up chart on the top of the unit is way out?
Mine shows a 2.4 tungsten and filler for 3mm mild steel and 150amps!
I tried it today using the settings on the chart for a bit of fun, blew through a piece of 3mm mild.
The book that comes with it has totally different settings which are actually correct.
To be fair I didn't even took a look at the book. I will take a look tomorrow or friday when the new welder arrives.
I hope this one comes without any problem
I bought mine from a local welding supplier he matched any price and is on my doorstep virtually should the need arise, worth thinking about.
I find that I move the Parweld foot pedal's pot by mistake, I keep saying that I will make a guard for it to stop me nudging it or worse with my foot.I have the same pedal but marked Parweld but mine has a pot on the side to control amps, I like it because its not high but nice and wide so it don't topple sideways if your not on it square.

Nice pic, I have just got a 202 a month ago so I can deal with small alloy fab jobs, so far very happy with it and it compliments the 181i I have also, works well my only gripe is slight delay on the peddle and the AMPs preview would be nice without unplugging the peddle, no big deal and near perfect little TIG for me.
