Thinking about it one job on the RR was when the drivers door latch failed and with no door locks on any other doors it meant it had to be done from inside. Manage to gouge a hole in the door card too trying to remove it!
The door card was pretty much too big to come off with the door shut. I did it in the end but it was a few hours of fecking around trying to damage a deadlocked latch from inside the door. Absolute nightmare, and all because the factory didn't use enough lube on the mech. It was a common problem. I had to do the rear too but that was easier.
...and if memory serves me right you also had to line up the mechanism with a drill bit somewhere or other before tightening it all up or it was be stuck shut.
