Yep but in some ways it makes sense, as time goes on it doesnt. Difficult to explain exactly.![]()
I bet it would of been ok if it had been a sponsor

At the risk of this turning into a halfords tools thread, I recommend their ratchet spanners because I've personally used them in a heavy industrial setting for 10 years and they've been great. That does seem strange, I see certain members constantly promoting certain suppliers - Stacey processing springs to mind. I don't know what r tech is, I assume it's a welder of which I am not. If i have a piece of kit which fits someone's needs and budget I don't hesitate to recommend. I don't approve of site sponsors neither. I don't know the full story or the background but it does seem strange a mod contacting you especially if you have no affiliation. We have loads of machine mart fan boys on here constantly recommending Clarke products. Must be more to this than meets the eye? Same with Halfords stuff which really confuses me as most people wouldn't touch the stuff but loads of threads recommending it for some reason. If i want a magic tree, go to Halfords, but tools![]()

normspanners doesnt like this
HA"If everyone likes you, you are doing something wrong"![]()
Thats what I was saying when i said it kind of makes sense. I guess I would be miffed if I thought someone was being paid to push another company. BUT I always speak as I find and would rather leave than be not true to myself. Sponsors help keep the site going but by the same logic we would all be recommending their kit. (good or bad) It might actually be great to be fair, l but I purchased mine based on my own investigations and research on google etc etc I think the questions i was asked by mods were reasonable .I bet it would of been ok if it had been a sponsor![]()
maybe a 'matt you have too many vices, its got disturbing' button?
In that case, we need an "Mmm, cast iron" button)
No dislike button![]()
HA
I wish my missus had a like button
Hum well if I remember correctly she did ( but we won't go into that) (funny thats what she said too)
Coz it saves her saying she likes summat coz she doesnt say it very often!!
Nah I think she had it removed, I'm sure she had a hystericalrectomyShe does have a "like" button![]()
Nah I think she had it removed, I'm sure she had a hystericalrectomy
and when they did that, her sense of humour escaped out of the same hole.
