Yes but I would expect no less from Wales

When I worked at a Daf truck dealer, the maker paid for repair time, and not diagnostic time, so some obscure wiring fault that took hours to find but only minutes to fix! I think this is why people, started to say loom was knackered so the dealer actually got sensible money from the truck maker. The main dealer ( motorcycle) I worked at we were paid 50% of retail labour rate for warranty work by the manufacturer. If car dealers are the same which would you prioritise, warranty or retail customer work?
I'd wager it's more simple than today's simple cars and from experience, yes it's dead easy to work on. Underneath the sales chatter in the wiki text it's a very simple diesel (mine).I know nothing about BMW's but would that be the E61 with,

All of which sounds dead easy to fix when it goes wrong.![]()

Whats ADAS?The problem is that any that are from 2024 or newer have this ADAS nonsense that either can't be turned off or has to be turned off every time you start it.
I do like the simple looks of the Dacia Duster but couldn't bring myself to own anything with modern Renault guts.
Whats ADAS?
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are intelligent, sensor-based technologies (cameras, radar, lidar) in vehicles designed to increase safety and comfort by alerting drivers to hazards or automatically controlling the car. Key features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and parking assistance. They are crucial for reducing human-error accidents.Whats ADAS?
