Traditional, steel countersunk wood screws are on their way out. I'm a furniture restorer and cabinet maker, from an authentic and aesthetic perspective I can't use the modern cast posi/cross head type that are taking over.
Over the last few years I've been busily scooping up all the stocks I can (brass and steel), and wanted to know if anyone here knows of any suppliers that may have some for sale. I would really appreciate any contacts that may have stock I can buy to insure I don't run out in the foreseeable future. As far as I can see, no one is making them in the UK any more. I need all sizes starting from No 2 x 1/2", right up to No 14 x 5". I never know what I'll need so like to keep as much stock as I can.
Could be the end of an era.
Thanks for any help.
