I think that might be the way to go,really dont fancy pre drilling 100's of holes,if it doesn't work out as such at least one can get them off easier then having to do a load of filling etcThey're just heads glued on, common thing with rat looks, made to look like hammer drives, hence the marked heads.
They used split peas as fake rivet heads, I believe.experiments with false rivet heads being stuck on the outside of a Spitfire.
