Our Samsung smart TV is 3 years old. Freeview has more than enough choice for us. For movies and shows that aren't available through FV, I have the free Showbox app on my phone. I can display content on my TV using Chromecast. Easy. Free. Simple.

There seems to be less and less on freeview though, anything really good is on the pay tv channels. I don't really care myself, rather be in the shed messing with something oily or dangerous, but the wimmens and kids like the new stuff on the box.

Downloaded Kodi not keen but usable. How do I get out of it without constantly having to shut it down to view a web page?
If I can get Mobdro on Kodi rather than through Bluestacks might use it.

It was slightly different in mine and not many streams worked I am guessing this is normal?

Wife had some vouchers for Amazon so we got a fire box. I have to say it's superb. She has a prime subscription so we watch some stuff on there but the real bonus is like others I installed kodi. I've been watching movies and series for free in hi quality 1080p. The fire box is actually 4k. I've even taken it on holiday so every night is movie night when little one is in bed.

I had a quick google about this last week, and it seems anything free is a waste of time and effort, something like expressvpn might be the way to go though.
