I have decided ebay telescopic are out, I understand some are using them and happy to do so but the ocd side of me which demands I review such things before purchase suggests they have a higher risk factor of failing than other style of ladders.
Considering they can have up to 30 locking devices then it makes sense the chance for failure increases, coupled with the fact the majority are coming from China, also the fact a large number of Chinese imported one's were found to be faulty makes the decision easy.
I think the Aldi one may well be a better design but for the same price I can get a pair of strong 6ft double ladders that are a damn sight easier to move around than my heavy set and will also fit in the car when needed.
