Table saw, any good ?

@W.olly Measured my blades and they're 210 x 30 x 2.6 - so no use to you, I assume?

Ah well, never mind, thanks anyway kida I got one today and tried it and its done the job, if slowly, but still a nice cut and minimal clean up.

I got one of these

as the price is the same, well near enough as a spacer itself and i got three with it. Blade is no good unless it fits the Evo rage circular saw i have.


This was done with two cuts as the timber is 110mm and the max cut depth on this is 65mm.

That was all done with the 1/2hp motor, as said it had to be fed a bit slower than you would normally feed it.



I have removed the 3hp 2800rpm motor off the compressor as i would rather have the extra power for it. Just need to sort a new pulley now as the original pulley is 5/8 and the new 3hp pulley is 19mm.

Like others have said I'd be looking for at least 2hp preferable more, the thinner the blade you can get the less hp you can get away with but I think 1/2hp is never gonna cut it (sorry for the pun)

You could set the fence so that it is slightly further away from the blade at the rear and see if it cuts better, but it sounds like not enough hp and a dull blade.

That looks to have done a really nice cut on that wood for you , no doubt it'll be happier with a bigger motor but it's perfectly usable as it is which is good and it's producing good quality work which is the main thing.

I wasn't really being smug (well not much), I'm just happy that your happy with it.

I have been trying to find a new pulley ( 75mm PCD with a 19mm bore with A section ) but no luck so i am going to try and drill the original 5/8 out to 19mm. no loss if i dont get it accurate in the lossof the pulley.

Isnt it weird when you get a new toy you try to think of things to make lol.
