o made a stand and found the spindle size is 5/8, it has a washer fitted as a spacer for the 30mm bore disc at the minute. Bit out of true due to the 15.87 ( 5/8 ) spindle and the 17mm ID washer 
A Makita disc as here is used
It looks like the bracket for the riving knife is broken off ?
Also i noticed this shaft spins when running, it is very pit of true and wondered what it is for ?
Now i had aquick blast to see what it was like at cutting a slab of Iroko 27mm thick, so no big deal as the Evo circular saw does it with ease.
This as far as it would cut either way until it started to struggle, i set the fence up within .05mm so it was square to the fence from the kerf at both end. I did two cuts so the reason the double cut. I was fettling the distance to see if it was out.
This the motor, not sure myself but 1/2HP seems low to me ?
So few things to fettle like the riving knife and why it will not cut much.
