One of my dogs caught ticks from a hedgehog once,passed them to the cat,both went to the vet for removal....not nice if they are hairy

What if the vet's bald?

I fed my dog on Bakers Complete dry stuff and the forthcoming pup will be on James Wellbeloved kibble for a while (the wifey insists)...........so I assume you dont mean that

Wellbeloved is good stuff. UK made and they donate all the food required for Somerset RSPCA (they are based in Somerset). The mog was on it from when he was rescued up until last year when he started struggling with hairballs.

I have read that they are getting to be endangered species over in Britain now.

Our dog loved ( gone now ) hedgehogs used to round them up, drive them up the drive to the food and then sit and watch them eat.
They are classed as a pest here ( New Zealand ) as they eat birds eggs and the local wheta ( large bugs, look like locusts ).

Biggest problem here they have mange, spreads easily as we don't have much of a winter ( Mid winter today 16C and sunny ) to kill it off. Sprinkle a bit of horse lice dust on them works a treat. And they come out most of the day except midday in summer as it's to hot.

Avoid Freemake - it's puts loads of rubbish on your computer and it's difficult to get rid of.

Hey 'sparks, we had a ferret in the garden down at Kirk a week or two back... I say ferret, it could have been a weasel, stoat or a polecat for all I know... it seemed to have quite a bit of white on it. The local farmers had a big rabbit cull a couple of years back but this year they seem to have come back with a vengeance (breeding like rabbits I suppose )... on the plus side they eat new bamboo shoots trying to sprout through the lawn but on the down side they also eat most of the other plants as well
I've suggested I get a 12-bore but Nursy won't have me blowing holes in the patio
