I just weld small metal art stuff, I want gassless as moving over to gas is expensive as a hobbyist.first thing to ask is what are you welding to need gasless as its not that nice a weld and more for the heaver metal than car stuff
(it can be done but not nice )
How are you welding the art now ?I just weld small metal art stuff, I want gassless as moving over to gas is expensive as a hobbyist.

Thank you for your helpHello and welcome to the Forum.
As angellonewolf said, to run gasless fluxcore wire on the Sealey Supermig 195 you would have to reverse the polarity of the torch with respect to the workpiece clamp, making the torch negative rather than the standard positive. That task should be fairly simple, involving the bolted ( or spliced ) connections at the positive output of the bridge rectifier and the negative output wire from the inductor ( choke ). Some cables may need to be lengthened or replaced. You may want to consider adding panel-mounted Dinse sockets and plugs if you want to make the swap easily reversible.
This swap can be difficult on those welders where the torch trigger switch connects to the control board with just a single wire, and the second wire from the switch is connected by "borrowing" the heavy welding power cable inside the torch sleeve. However this model has a 2-wire torch switch, so that is not an issue.
There is a circuit diagram of the 195 courtesy of mike 109444 in Post #6 here:
Hello chaps.
My first 'technical post' here! Much searching has been done, so it is now time to ask the many great experts here, I think...
Background:
As an avid fixer of 'old stuff', I bought this 1997 example recently, to replace my various small 'hobby migs'.
It came with the declared fault of 'gas always on' and the seller's mitigating action was to replace the Euro torch. Cleaning out the gas solenoid valve sorted that issue.
I then replaced all the usual consumable / wear items, cleaned all the internal spade connections, the six position voltage switch and the contactor...
