Well the camper is warmer stood outside than I am inside.

Note try not to love someone with OCD. The brief was cream inside including all doors and outside black below the beltline and cream above. The client got exactly what she asked for but... Now where the door skins fold onto the frame they have to be black, so re-mask every door and hatches just to paint the 8mm return.

Well long side is done. Had nearly every issue we could have had, gun not behaving, runs in the base coat, running out of paint, and reaction to a 1k primer

What started as a replacement of one ball joint turned into a lengthy rebuild of the whole front suspension, so I thought Ï'd make it not all satin black. Everything was blasted with copper slag, then sprayed with 2-3 coats of industrial epoxy primer and 3-4 thin coats of 2K polyurethane top coat in RAL 2013 "Pearl Orange" on the brakes, 7011 "Iron Grey" on the subframe, arms and knuckles, and 9005 "Deep Black" on the ARB and a few other bits and pieces.

Praivo - What 2K polyurethane paint do you use?? Have you used it previously if so how's the durability?

Today i painted the roll along display i made for the toy shop, i used bedec multi surface paint which dries fast, so next week it will be back in use full of simmer toys.

New wings,old ones had holes ,in fact for the kids egg hunt ,I hid one of them in said hole,they had their uses.

Praivo - What 2K polyurethane paint do you use?? Have you used it previously if so how's the durability?

This is called Telpur T300, I didn't mention it in the first post because it's made by a Czech company (Barvy A Laky Teluria) and doesn't seem to be sold outside CZ, SK and PL. I can't even find a TDS/SDS in English. I haven't used it before, but from I've noticed during reassembly it does seem to be fairly tough. I've had it chip in a few places but only on sharp edges. This car will mostly be driven on decent, salt-free roads. so it should be more than enough to last a few more years. Over this summer I'm probably going to do the same thing to my other car (it needs some work on the front end that will involve pulling it apart anyway), except this time I'm going to try the T340 which uses acrylic resins instead of synthetic so it should be even more durable while curing more quickly (but it's harder to find and I haven't seen anyone offer pearl or metallic colours other than 9006 and 9007).

A few more bits painted during the good weather today and yesterday… all sandblasted, epoxy primed and 2k dg black. Extended LCAs, engine/transmission reinforcements, and wiper motor housing. Turned out okayish, I wasn’t overly fastidious with the prep and got some silicones on the cast iron pieces, but they’ll be out of site and covered in crud after a while anyway…

…, I also did the wiper linkages in 2k epoxy primer followed by rattle can silver. The brake servo has been opened, cleaned and glass blasted, before 2k epoxy, then 2k high build epoxy ready for some sanding. The reason behind that it is quite pitted from a master cylinder leak and I want it to be a feature in the engine bay - it’ll be finished in the body colour. Pics to follow

Not my usual, brush and 4 inch roller this time and a proper pig of a job.
I hope I don't have to do it again for at least another 20 years.

A pair of brake calipers (rust removed by electrolysis, 2 coats of rust converter, 2 coats of 2K epoxy primer, and 3 coats of 2K polyurethane):

Start to finish through the week, ground out rust spots and covered with Fertan, brushed on Lechler epoxy primer and flatted back and fill as required, several thin coats of Lechler hi build as I'm only using my 1.3 gun, quick guide coat of blacketch primer from a can, flat back and feather and several coats of ie ? gloss too flat back tomorrow, match is good !
