Ahh sorry, I read "pitch" in your previous message at "patch", I was assuming you meant you wanted that same border around the piece. What is the pitch and hole size? I'd expect you can find something pretty close if not exactly the same.

I'm looking for a small piece of perforated stainless sheet. Ideally 316 but 304 would be OK.

4.8mm dia holes at 6mm pitch on one axis by 5mm pitch the other. This is just the printed test template:

As a slight drift, we had one of the old tumble dryers that were a fire issue. Had it for 12 years, never an issue. Then we got a letter telling us about the dangers etc and shortly after that a brand new tumble dryer for free. this one is equally trouble free but is much easier to de-fluff. Result.

Just made a boring bar for my boring head. I’ve got some deep 12mm holes to bore out on a cylinder head and disnt have a suitable tool. Had some silver steel left over from something so thought I’d try making one. Works a treat

Made a new trolly for my little bandsaw. The Oxford Mig is still earning its keep, puts down some lovely welds when I can keep my hand steady.

It replaces this old thing I made years ago, all my useful off cuts just get poked underneath so the new version with baskets should be a revelation.

I'm making a slow combustion stove to put in my garage. It's an old design I half remembered from an old 1950s practical householder magazine. It a tube with a rotating ash pan that acts as a damper by covering a series of air holes at the bottom. Mine started life as an old c02 cylinder. It's a work in progress bit of a way to go but it's better than mouldering in the house tit deep in wrapping paper

Well, this has been on the go for a good few years and I have always made excuses to not do it in case I made a hash of it, so now as I am not rushed this last while, I decided to bite the bullet and just get on with it, came out far better than I could have imagined, a rose for my rose:



I decided to do it in stages, finishing one part before moving on to the next:



I decided to give the stem a bit more of a "rustic" look, on reflection I should have made a leaf or at least a couple thorns, next one for sure:



Then the actual fitting to the stem, I didn't fancy solder running everywhere and no superglue either (I don't have a track record of success with it) so I thought if I annealed the stem I could make a tool and upset it, this worked well I gripped it in the vice and gave it all a couple good belts, as you can see it worked:



By sheer chance I had a hole punch the same size as the stem so the petals were a good interference fit:



Then it was simply a matter of fitting the parts together and folding the petals up. I didn't anneal them which was a small mistake, I should have, but I did polish them up with a scotchbrite bobbin in the Dremel (I would have used the die grinder but I cannot find it and I have looked everywhere :-( ). Came out well I thought, certainly something I would approach with confidence next time:



I had bought a dome a long while back so a hole in the middle of the base and it's a proper job:



All now boxed up and wrapped. It's got to be worth a new benchrest rifle !

Brass I can have a go at @bR39Da but Titanium? Really? My experience of Titanium is that it is really tough stuff, when you push it, it just pushes right back! Stainless is really hard to work too, with a propensity to slash my hands to bits.
