Its looking a bit tired around the caravan and the "temporary" pallet steps I made 7 years ago have reached their sell by date

I was gifted this by @My Old Landy and while back, even though its a bit over engineered for this job it works so its getting used!

a bit of 4x4 box chopped up

Some shocking welding later and we have a good start for the platform/landing area, just needs a coat of paint, a bit of decking, some steps, more paint, continued enthusiasm...

Closure plate for a sensibly sized clio fuel pump access cover hole because taking off the rear brakes, handbrake cables, complete exhaust, rear subframe and rear axle & fuel tank to change the fuel pump is silly.
The original is the black plastic piece which is only big enough to unplug the sensor wiring plug.
Just cardboard cad, then bead rolled a lip on the outside to form a flange and some rivnuts in the original sheet metal to attach with m4 buttonheads and a smear of silicon for a gasket.

Air Regulator/Drier/Oiler with a 1 to 4 manifold, and 4 × 2m airlines with PCL fittings on the end.

It's not finished, as I need to:
- order more O-Clips to replace all the Jubilee clips,
- replace the 8mm hose-whip on the inlet (to test everything was pressure-tight) with a 3/4" hose that connects to the Claw fittings,
- find the mounting post that I made which drops into a axle-stand, and bolt it on.

I did debate fitting 4 of the coiled springy hoses, but they're way more expensive than a length of oil-resistant rubber hose, and much less hard wearing.

Totally unnecessary, but is a nice quality of life improvement for working on finishing the landy now the nights are a bit lighter.

Are those the safety type? I've had a few disconnect when dragging the connector across the floor causing the open end to whip around.

Just the standard quick release type.

I have seen the many variants with improved flow and/or safety, but the cost of swapping out 29 fittings (tools, hoses, air drops and portable compressor) at £20 a fitting would be exorbitant at this point.

I was going to try truck air hoses, but then found a coiled plastic garden hose which is nearly as tough.

I did brand new springy suzy style hoses for short runs in the workshop itself, and moved the long rubber airhose on a reel Ive had for decades to the barn. 4 years later, I've just had to replace all the suzy hoses tube as they went brittle and snapped off, whereas the reel is still using the airline hose I bought for it 25+ years ago. I've had to replace the O rings in the rotating fitting on it once though.
The springy hoses are not sat in sunlight where they are too, in fact its partially underground with shrouded windows.

I was particularly mindful that these are going to be exposed to a lot of grit and grinding sparks, which the thinner PU or PVC in Suzy hoses tends not to respond so well to.

Lots of firewood. This was just the first load coming out of the neighbours field.

A pile we're not bothering to go near, no mug for scale but put it this way it's a 100yards away with a 2x zoom and was pushed up by a 24t Komatsu...

Customer supplied the cast panel,which I cut to size and tapped m10, I was pleased he chose some 50/25 solid half round for the handrail,as it’s a nice change from the regular lighter gauge,what’s more he didn’t want it black.

A coat of paint makes stuff look so much better

Repurposed some pallet timber for the deck, a quick go with the belt sander and I'll wacky a coat of something nasty over it tomorrow

Altered this quick hitch,one of the pins had to be smaller,which involved making two reduction sleeve inserts and a new pin,the size difference was only about 0.120” so I bored the original holes out to 29.5mm before pressing in, the extra long drill was the only one of the correct size,I used this for the pre alignment.
