No seals? I've also brought the sides of my top down to give more protection from the rain. I had mine coated, but have since added a couple of strap points to the front.

It is just a test fit to see if I like it. Once powder coated I will put neoprene on the lid to seal. Everything inside will be in small dry bags as well so should be fine.
Last weekend actually,assembled,shortened then painted my mezzanine staircase,then by stroke of luck,placed my old hand made mezzanine ladder on FB for £20,within 20 minutes my architect customer bought it. If you look closely you may notice its anchored at the ththe base
Should read,at the base by pegged cleats plus the double top tread has a screw onto a ledger on the Z purlin. The newel and intermediate posts were woefully inadequate so were doubled in thickness. The gate spikes are coming off as I increase the height of said gates.

Bought it years back and used it once on a trip to the Ardennes and it’s been in the cupboard ever since!

I have been looking at the tail box I made for the bike and the downside to it was the lock and catch were taking up a lot of internal space.
I did a bit of searching and found this which looked perfect.
So I took out the lock and immediately I could pack more stuff in.
In the 3 drybags I have a small toolkit, puncture plug kit, pump, pressure gauge and jump starter, so pretty happy as that was all the stuff I used to carry in the Kriega.
Now all I need to do is make a new lid, weld a plate for mounting the lock then get it powder coated.
Oh you can also see the neoprene seal I tested out, it will make it water tight as well so the dry bags are probably not even needed.

Nothing exciting, a wooden stand to put the telly on the dash in the wagon when I'm on a night out:
Bought the telly from the long gone Orwell Crossing truckstop at Ipswich something like 15 years ago and it's still going strong. Runs on 12 volt, 24 volt, mains, (and there are probably inlets for steam and gas...), built in Freeview, digital TV, dvd player, and loads of other features that are beyond me
. It has a quick release plate that mates with the one on the plywood post and the swivel bracket in the background should fit nicely in the van. Don't watch much telly but it's nice to watch a film at night.
On test, extra points for naming the film which includes some serious plasma cutting:
And an eclectic selection of dvd's:

Did a test run to see if these tool cases which get dumped all over the place can be upcycled , all the plastic inside comes out easily enough with a multitool , I will line them with flooring underlay foam and sell them £5 each.

Decided that instead of just making a new lid for the tail box that I would make a complete new one and make it 15mm deeper.
Should be able to fit a few more bits and pieces in it such as ratchet straps and a set of allen keys.

I have one of these, it was £30. I have used it 2 times so far on punctures on friends bikes when we have been on runs, never on mine.I carry one of these as they are so small, tested but not used in anger.

Used it plenty of times to top up car/van/bike tyres and so far it has been great. Holds the charge well and if I needed could charge from the bike.

It is 5mm, would have preferred 2 or 3mm but 5mm is the thinnest I have.
